As natural as they come, this lot is grown by around 221 farmers living near the town of Kercha, in the Kerchanshe Kebele (Village). 

As with all ethiopian coffees, lots are made up of a collection of many, many smallholders who bring their cherries to a centralised washing station. The Kerchanshe wet mill where this coffee is processed was established in 2006 and has 24 full time employees and 304 temporary employees during harvest times. It is located Approximately 1.95 km from the local growing region which receives annual rainfall of 1250 – 1600mm. 

The name Kerchanshe means ‘your best coffee’ in the language of the Oromo people.
