Brazil Santuario do Sul Sudan Rume Filter Coffee
Santuario do Sul farm is owned by Luiz Paulo Pereira; co founder of Carmo coffees, alongside his industry partners. The vision of this project farm aimed to shape the way Brazilian coffees were perceived, and create a new profile of Brazilian coffee via planting of exotic varietals gathered from various regions of the coffee world. The farm itself not only has traditional Brazilian varieties such as yellow Bourbon, but is also home to 30 other exotic varieties.
Santuario do Sul farm is a project that was born from a goal of being ahead of market trends. Cutting edge, differentiated cultivation practices and innovative processes allow Luiz to produce excellent quality which has been recognised by the industry through their unique flavour profiles on the specialty market. It is part of a wider vision known as the ‘Santuario Project’ which pools resources and bridges the collective knowledge of renowned coffee experts throughout multiple producer countries.
This lot is an exotic Sudan Rume, the first varietal of this kind that we’ve purchased out of Brazil. It is an exceptional coffee full of fruit and sweetness which is a product born of the relationships nurtured through Carmo Coffees and the dedication of Luiz Paulo to be pushing the boundaries of specialty coffee in Brazil and for the wider coffee producing community.
