Las Mishas is a lot produced by a group of farmers in Colasay, a region known for growing a significant amount of Bourbon coffee. Unlike much of Peru, where coffee production is often a mix of varieties even within the same farm, Colasay stands out for its focus on Bourbon. This variety is recognised for its distinctive ripe fruit profile. The combination of post-harvest practices and the region’s cooler climate, which allows for a slower drying process, results in consistently higher-quality coffee. However, visiting the area can be challenging, as the roads become difficult to navigate during rainy periods.
