Ethiopia Adanech Gemede Natural Filter - Single Origin

Adanech Gemede is a producer from Dobi Village in the Yirgacheffe area of Ethiopia, farming around 6.45 hectares. Since her husband’s passing in 2016, she has led the family farm and with her son Tego; has worked to improve both quality and yield.

Adanech sells her coffee through the Jabanto group, which has enabled direct sales to exporters since 2018. Her coffee is part of a broader move toward greater farm level traceability in Ethiopia, where single producer lots are increasingly separated from regional or washing station blends.

This lot is naturally processed; ripe cherry is selectively handpicked and sorted, then dried whole on raised beds for around 18 to 21 days, with regular turning to ensure even drying. This results in a vibrant cup, combining expressive fruit character with delicate florals and a tealike finish.
